The objective of the Better Migration Management (BMM) III programme is to enable national authorities and institutions to facilitate safe, orderly and regular migration and effectively address and reduce the trafficking in human beings and the smuggling of migrants within and from the Horn of Africa region through a human-rights-based approach.
The Programme is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and co-financed by the European Union and is commissioned from October 2022 to September 2025. The implementation is facilitated through an Implementing Partnership consisting of IOM, UNODC, CIVIPOL, British Council, and the lead agency GIZ. The programmeโs interventions target countries in the Horn of Africa region, i.e. Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, and Uganda.
Ihre Aufgaben
Assisting in the preparation of external communication measures, especially social media Drafting stories and social media input with a focus on impact communication Compiling the media clipping and the communication monitoring list Advising the colleagues in the programme on Corporate Design questions Updating the communication templates and maintaining the document sharing platform on MS Teams Updating and maintaining the BMM photo data base Supporting the knowledge management of BMM Contributing to any other task assigned by the Programme DirectorIhr Profil
At least 2 years of university studies in Communication / PR studies or Political Science, or Social Sciences, development studies or related Interest and preferably first experiences in Corporate Communication and Public Relations (including social media) and Development Cooperation Good skills in writing and editing products for public relations purposes (print and online) Knowledge in graphic design is an asset Fluency in written and spoken English; French/ German and/ or Arabic is an asset Knowledge of standard Microsoft programmesHinweise
Please be informed that you are only allowed to apply for this internship, if you are currently enrolled as a student or graduated not longer than six months ago from the start of your internship.
Candidates must also hold a Belgian work permit, which in case of non-EU nationality must be uploaded when applying.
We pay a monthly stipend of โฌ1.350,- (gross). Please note that the contract will be concluded under Belgian law.
