The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Corporate Services Directorate (GCS), Corporate Protection Services Division (CPS), Corporate Security Unit (SECURITY) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a (Associate) Security Officer*.
This is a full-time temporary position at grade 4/5.
The term of this contract will be 4 years; as this is a temporary assignment, no extension or conversion of the contract is foreseen.
*Internally referred to as (Associate) Officer Facilities Management

Purpose
For the EIB Groupโs new building construction, we are looking for a (Associate) Security Officer to coordinate and support the management of corporate security services. This role will specifically focus on people, premises and (movable) property security ensuring that the new premises are fit for purpose.
Operating Network
In this role you will report to the Head of Corporate Security Unit.
You will have regular contact with colleagues in other directorates as well as external contacts with relevant public authorities in Luxembourg but also counterparts within public authorities of the EU member states, other international organisations and finally external service providers.
This role requires availability beyond the regular office hours; at night, on weekends and/or bank holidays even over a longer period, in particular in the event of incidents or crises.
Accountabilities
Develop Security Threat and Risk Assessments for the new building currently under construction Audit, identify, design and update technical specifications for security related machines, IT systems, other physical installations, measures and/or services to be implemented in the new building, as well as actively contribute to the implementation and testing thereof Represent the unit in the new building project group, working group, task force and/or committee Manage all phases and deliverables of tender procedures related to the security service within specific scope Ensure effective communication of the unitโs activities towards customers, partners and other stakeholdersQualifications
University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in a field related to protection including corporate security, risk management, or equivalent. Additional relevant certifications would be considered an advantage At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in physical security or security project management for international corporations and/or international or diplomatic organizations Demonstrated experience in security risk assessment and mitigation programs and procedures as well as the design, project management and maintenance of security related machines, IT systems and other physical installations, measures or services Experience in procurement, resource management and budgeting, preferably focusing on physical security Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French with a good command of the other. (**) Unless stated explicitly as a required qualification, a good command of French is not a pre-requisite for hire. As both English and French are however official working languages of the EIB, proficiency in both languages is a pre-requisite for your future career development. Any language clause in your contract must be fulfilled in order for you to be eligible for a promotion (either via the annual appraisal cycle or via an internal selection process). Proficiency is understood to mean the attainment of level 5 of the Inter Institutional language courses, corresponding to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
