5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Mercy Corps is powered by the belief that a better world is possible. To do this, we know our teams do their best work when they are diverse and every team member feels that they belong. We welcome diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills so that we can be stronger and have long term impact.

In September 2021, Mercy Corps (MC) and Energy 4 Impact (E4I) merged with the goal of increasing access to climate-smart, sustainable energy for communities in greatest need, globally. Against a backdrop where 800 million people globally lack access to energy, 8 in 10 of whom live in โ€œfragileโ€ states, there has never been a more urgent time to help these communities build back better with access to clean, sustainable energy, leveraging our organizationsโ€™ collective strengths. The merger unlocks a tremendous opportunity to place sustainable energy at the heart of development, humanitarian, and climate imperatives.

The Team

Mercy Corpsโ€™ Energy 4 Impact platform is implementing a range of regional and country-based energy programmes, with a current focus on Africa. We aim to increase access to clean energy through venture building and advisory, sector strengthening, catalysing capital flows, and research and learning. We achieve impact through innovations and scaling of business models and technologies that improve access, affordability, reliability and service delivery for unserved and underserved communities.
