What we are looking for
NRC is looking for an Area Manager to join the Myanmar mission. The role holder will ensure high quality and cost-effective programme/project implementation within the North-East area. He/she will be responsible for the oversight of NRC operations in Kachin State and in Northern Shan State. This comprises one area office (Myitkyina) and two sub-offices(Bhamo and Lashio).

Senior Project Managementย experience in a humanitarian/recovery context. Protracted displacementsย knowledge is an added advantage. North-East Myanmarย context knowledge is an added advantage. Myitkyina, Kachin State, Myanmarย duty station, subject to receiving appropriate documentation. Currently, international visas and work permits are subject to considerable delays. The successful candidate will be expected to work from home/remotely for extended periods of time. 24-monthย contract duration (renewable, subjecting to funding, performance, and requirements). 30% travel, approximately.
