The purpose of the Area Manager position is to ensure high quality and cost-effective programme/project implementation within the designated geographical area.ย
What you will doย ย
Line management for senior project staff and support functions (and Field Office Coordinators) ย Member of the Country Management Group (CMG)ย Compliance with and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and proceduresย Provide area specific input on CC strategies, Country Strategy and Plan of Actionย Organize grants opening and closure meetings at area levelย Implementation of projects (including master support budget and coordinating input for donor proposals and reports) in the area, in compliance with contractual commitments (i.e. quality, synergies, timeliness, use of resources) and aligned to regional and global strategiesยPlease download the detailed job descriptionย ย to learn more about the position.ย ย ย
ย What you will bringย ย
Minimum 3 years of experience from working as a Senior Project Manager in a humanitarian/recovery contextย Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contextsย Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilitiesย Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile ย Excellent English skills both written and verbal ย Knowledge of the context in Cabo Delgado ย Fluency in PortugueseยWhat we offerย ย
Duty station: Mueda, Mozambiqueย
Contract: 12 months, renewal subject to funding and performanceย
Travel:30%ย
Salary/benefits: Grade 10ย on NRCโs International/national salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions.ย
