Role and responsibilities
The main purpose of the position is to ensure effective coordination of the WASH activities in IDPs and Host communities in Tigray region, Ethiopia. The WASH coordinator leads and oversees the NRC WASH sector strategy at the area level and will assist the area program manager in providing technical input in the program development. He/she will also work closely with the other Project coordinators to ensure the timely delivery of quality integrated programming and will assist the area program manager in the overall planning and design of (future) projects.ย

Degree in Water Engineering, Public Health, Civil Engineering, Public Health, Environmental Health, Hydrology, irrigation engineeringMinimum 5 years of experience working in senior WASH positions (Manager and Coordinator) or similar in a humanitarian/recovery context with an INGO/ NGOsExperience in implementing integrated WASH activities (both software and hardware)Previous experience working in complex and volatile contextsDocumented results related to the positionโs responsibilitiesKnowledge about own leadership skills/profileFluency in local language English, both written and verbalContext-related skills, knowledge, and experience
