Temporary ICT Atlassian Jira & Confluence Support
In the EUMETSAT matrix organisation, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division is responsible for providing applications and support services regarding Information and Communication Technology to the organisation. The ICT Division is a dynamic team of more than 50 technicians and engineers, which operates, manages, troubleshoots and implements changes to corporate ICT systems, including desktop and mobile IT equipment, SAP, Documentation Management Tool, EUMETSAT web sites and the intranet.
We are currently seeking Temporary ICT Atlassian Jira & Confluence support to provide second level support on Atlassian Jira, which is the corporate tool for action tracking, & Atlassian Confluence-Cloud, which is the Corporate collaboration platform.
Duties
The following tasks have been identified for the requested support:
- Provide second level support on Atlassian Jira platform; including creation of the projects, the action workflows, and administration of the Jira plugins;
- Act as interface between the Service Desk, the engineering teams, and the users;
- Support the users of the Atlassian Confluence cloud platform.
LOCATION Darmstadt, Germany
QUALIFICATIONS
Full secondary education + practical / vocational qualifications relating to role.
LANGUAGES
Candidates must be able to work effectively in English.

Duties
The following tasks have been identified for the requested support:
- Provide second level support on Atlassian Jira platform; including creation of the projects, the action workflows, and administration of the Jira plugins;
- Act as interface between the Service Desk, the engineering teams, and the users;
- Support the users of the Atlassian Confluence cloud platform.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate should have the following qualifications/experience:
- Experience in providing first and second level IT support;
- Thorough knowledge on Atlassian Jira-Cloud & Atlassian Confluence-Cloud;
- Ability to communicate effectively with international staff on all levels;
- Strong support and user orientation;
- Proactive attitude and strong sense of team working.
Employment Conditions
The Temporary ICT Atlassian Jira & Confluence Support will work on a full-time basis. The role will be based at the EUMETSAT headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany. Remote working will not be possible.
Interviews for this position will be held in English, followed by a work-related assessment also in English.
NB This is NOT a staff role. The successful candidate would be employed through a temp agency for the duration of the contract. Agency employment conditions will apply. Applicants will need to have the right to work in Germany. Visa or work permit support will not be provided.
The target start date is in July 2024 for 6 months maternity cover with strong possibility of extension.
The successful candidate will be reporting to ICT Service Delivery Manager.
