The Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking to recruit a Resident Tax Administration Advisor to be based in Moroni, Comoros. The successful candidate will be appointed for a period of one year. The contract may be renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding. It is expected that sufficient funding will be available for the advisor to spend around three years in the position. In close collaboration with IMF Headquarters, and the Regional Capacity Development Center (AFRITAC South), the Advisor will be required to provide technical assistance (TA) on tax administration to assist the Comorian authorities.

The advisor's primary responsibilities will be to: (1) develop and monitor the work plan; (2) consult with the authorities on capacity development priorities and provide direct and hands-on technical assistance and training as needed; (3) help the authorities implement tax administration reform strategies designed in close coordination with FAD; (4) provide support to short-term FAD or AFRITAC South experts recruited to deliver technical assistance remotely or in-person; (5) manage the development and delivery of tax administration capacity building events such as training, workshops, study tours and seminars; and (6) liaise with the AFRITAC South resident advisors and coordinate with other technical assistance providers and their experts.
