The Mediation Office is one of the Fundโ€™s Dispute Resolution System (DRS) offices. It is a small unit that provides confidential, independent, impartial, and informal resource that facilitates the resolution of workplace concerns and prevents workplace conflict from escalation. It deals with issues that can have significant impact on the working environment of the Fund and provides a highly confidential and independent resource to help IMF employees resolve workplace problems.

Through its Mediation, Coaching, Facilitation, and Training services as well as the Peers for a Respectful Workplace (PRW), the Office helps staff to find common ground, develop conflict resolution and prevention strategies and safely raise workplace concerns. The office also provides feedback to Senior Management on trends and concerns relevant to the officeโ€™s focus on ensuring a workplace characterized by respect, trust, and procedural fairness. The functions and operation of the Mediation Office are governed by GAO 11 Section 03.3.

The Mediation Office is seeking a Projects Officer (PRW Program) to manage and administer the PRW program. The successful candidate should have a strong background in conflict resolution, excellent communication, project management, and interpersonal skills, maturity of judgment, and an ability to work well in a small team situated in a multinational organization. The candidate should be sensitive to the confidentiality needs of the officeโ€™s visitors, as well as have expertise in technology and case management. The Projects Officer (PRW Program) will report to the Head of the Mediation Office.
