Overall purpose of the role:
Provide Support for all warehousing, transportation of good and people, vehicle fleet management, and general logistics support to the programme under the guidance of the Supply Chain Officer, as well as Provide Support for procurement of goods and services.
Responsibilities: (in bullet points).
Updating daily vehicle movement schedule and records and assigning of all mechanical transport as required. Ensure that all rented and DRC owned vehicles are in good working conditions. Prepare monthly fleet monitoring reports Ensure that all DRC owned and rented vehicles are using DRC Log sheet record properly Ensure that all DRC drivers have valid driving license at all times Update general inventory list timely as new assets are procured Ensure that all DRC Asset are tagged and tracked appropriately Conduct periodic physical verification/inspection of the asset in quarterly basis Ensure all asset in the inventory list are registered and updated on the online Inventory Register. Send inventory report to the Supply Chain team leader on monthly basis Ensure that DRC Warehouses are Properly managed Maintain warehouse Inventory as per DRC Warehouse Management Procedures Ensure that all Warehouse documents are in place and approved when receiving or releasing supplies Prepare all Periodic Logistic reports and share with the designated supervisor on a monthly basis Support with procurement Processes as assigned by Supervisor Conduct duties in accordance with DRC Somalia programme Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs Any other duties as assigned by Line ManagerExperience and technical competencies:
Minimum 1-year relevant work experience Excellent command of written and spoken English, well versed in Windows Word, Excel and Access Strong working relations with multi-sectorial agencies A team player with a strong cooperation ethicEducation:
University degree/diploma in supply chain management, Business Administration, or any relevant disciplineConditions
Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extension, subject to funding and performance. Salary and other conditions are offered by DRC’s Terms of Employment for National Staff; Employment band None Management I2.
