Senior Test Analyst
The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is hiring a Senior Test Analyst to join our Corporate Applications team in Information Technology Services division.
This role is based in Basel, Switzerland however, thanks to our status as an international organization, we can hire globally and welcome applications from candidates of all nationalities and located anywhere in the world. Relocation support is available for the successful candidate and their dependent family members.
Purpose of the job:
Our mission is to support central banks' pursuit of monetary and financial stability through international cooperation, and to act as a bank for central banks.
You will contribute to this mission by:
Delivering and testing projects in the ServiceNow platform, addressing a wide variety of business needs across the whole organization. Contributing to various project work, including business analysis, in collaboration with internal and external teams. Being part of the wider team responsible for implementing and maintaining software platforms used across the Bank.By joining the ITS – Corporate Applications team you will:
Play a key role in supporting various initiatives within a strategic platform across IT (ServiceNow) impacting all units. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with dedicated and innovative professionals in a positive and stimulating working environment. Take the opportunity to contribute to the modernisation work leveraged by ServiceNow through the adoption of new features and best practices in this space.Principal Accountabilities:
Provides technical leadership and expertise for quality assurance matters, with a focus on testing in the ServiceNow platform and related integrations. Drafts test strategy for the platform and test plans for projects and enhancements. Delivers tested software using automated testing frameworks and manual test execution. Supports user acceptance testing. Analyses business requirements, extracts technological needs and translates them into workable user stories. Proactively assists with requirements clarification across the entire backlog. Liaise with developers to resolve complex issues and proactively provides input to development teams for problem prevention. Drafts high-level business cases and associated roadmaps for technical and product strategies. Occasionally manages small or medium-sized projects and coordinates activities with team and stakeholders.Qualifications, skills, and experience:
Excellent knowledge and experience in delivering and testing projects in the ServiceNow platform. Experience of testing methodologies in a Service Oriented Architecture Test automation experience (such as Selenium or Playwright or ServiceNow Automated Test Framework) Hands on experience of test execution and verification Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow best practices, modules, and features, keeping up with latest developments. Very good communication skills with an ability to run business requirements and establish strong working relationships with business areas and infrastructure and application teams. Previous experience converting a high-level strategic vision into an executable roadmap and delivering as per the roadmap. Business analysis experience with good problem solving and root cause analysis approach. Ability to formally document and communicate complex system specifications. Good knowledge of Rest APIs Fluency in English (oral and written).Who we are:
