Job Summary:

The Senior Program Officer, Capacity Strengthening (SPO) will work with the FHI 360/Ghana Project Director to provide oversight, coordination, monitoring, and reporting on day-to-day program management functions, including contributing to work planning and activity monitoring; administering and providing technical assistant to the NGO; coordinating field visits and partner progress meetings; and coordinating technical assistance and capacity strengthening support for the NGO. The SPO, Capacity Strengthening will work with technical, human resource, IT, SI, grants, and finance staff and assist in providing technical assistance to the NGO for the development of a Capacity Strengthening Plan (CSP) and an Implementation Plan that will cover the following capacity strengthening areas: Financial Management and Internal Control Systems; Project Performance Management; Human Resources Management Systems; Procurement Systems; Records Management & Cyber Security and USAID Rules and Regulations. The SPO will also support documentation of program best practices, success stories, and lessons learned. The SPO will liaise with all FHI 360 and the NGO technical and programmatic staff as well as related departments at FHI 360โ€™s regional and HQ levels. Lastly, the SOP will ensure completion of the project while adhering to budget, scope, and schedule requirements.
