Types of projects could include re-engineering major global processes such as budgeting and allocations, scoping new systems/enhancements and leading their implementation, and defining strategy around system integration and reporting. In coordination with the Information Technology (IT) and Finance departments, this role is responsible for prioritizing multiple projects against organization-wide commitments, defining, justifying, and budgeting a roadmap for system and process implementation, and collaborating/negotiating with leaders across multiple departments for resources and shared prioritization. This role will also be hands-on in leading the requirements gathering with diverse sets of global stakeholders, providing program governance change management leadership, and ensuring system administration and support is provided in a timely and efficient manner.EEssential Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize a departmental roadmap for finance-adjacent process changes and systems.
  • Lead execution of initiatives around new/improved processes/systems, automation of manual tasks, data cleanliness, and integration management.
  • Lead the global implementation of business technology projects via program governance and tactical program management.
  • Mentor/manage junior program/project managers within the roleโ€™s sphere of influence.
  • Establish quality control and governance structures around data, system documentation/change management, and end user support mechanisms.
  • Represent the Finance department and worldwide user groups in various IT and Data Governance working groups.
  • Provide guidance to management regarding long-term system objectives as they relate to organizational goals.
  • Serve as a consultant, stakeholder representative and/or project team member on other project teams implementing related system projects.
  • Ensure efficient integrations and common data management while working closely with project and development teams.

    • Advanced business proficiency in written and spoken English.
    • Advanced Proficiency in SQL
    • Practical understanding of fund accounting in the context of international NGO accounting
    • 8+ years defining a product/program roadmap and leading complex, interdepartmental projects.
    • Specific experience with project ideation, scoping and budgeting, scoping, and prioritization of resources across multiple teams
    • 8+ years global business system implementation projects/programs with an emphasis on geographic and cultural diversity of user/stakeholders. PMP or equivalent a plus (but not required).
    • 8+ years defining system, integration, and reporting requirements across multiple teams.
    • 3+ years of people management
    • Ability to clearly document advanced business/technology concepts in both formal (auditable SOPs) and informal (knowledge management) paradigms.
    • Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics Nav/Serenic Navigator platform is a plus (but not required).ESuccess Factors
      • Effective verbal and written communication with both financial and non-financial audiences. Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
