- Provide specialized support to the development and implementation of the missionโs public information, communications and visibility strategy and work plan.
- Support the creation of public information content โ in particular, visual content โ on the missionโs key activities and achievements.
- Compile and draft Lines To Take (LTTs), in coordination with the Head of PSU, on issues pertinent to the IOM Country Office in Rwanda particularly for the CoM.ย
- Liaise with local media outlets and fielding inquiries from media agencies, in close coordination with the Head of PSU.ย
- Interview project beneficiaries and write stories and articles for dissemination in various traditional and digital platforms.
- Manage the IOM Rwanda website: upload and publish data on the website, update website information, share website traffic analysis.
- Liaise with media practitioners to enhance visibility of the missionโs work and to promote balanced and credible coverage of migration issues.
- Assist in planning, development and delivery of capacity building initiatives for media stakeholders.
- Monitor media coverage of the missionโs work and other media developments on migration.
- Plan and coordinate media and social media campaigns across multiple platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- Bachelorโs degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience; or
- High school diploma with six years of relevant professional experience.

For this position, fluency in English and Kinyarwanda ย ย is required (oral and written).
