The Sr. Manager, Institutional Giving reports to the Sr. Director, Global Philanthropy, Girl Up and is responsible for the development and execution of the overall strategy and plan for Girl Upโ€™s institutional gift development effort, focused on maximizing and growing revenue from private foundations, public trusts, corporate and family foundations to realize the mission, vision, and strategic imperatives of Girl Up.

Essential Functions

Responsible for new business development, stewardship and growth of a portfolio of partnerships, from private foundations, public trusts, corporate and family foundations in strategic global markets with a focus on six-figure+ multi-year gifts.Create and execute unique, engaging fundraising strategies to raise $750,000 annually in new funds from institutional funders with annual year over year growth while maintaining current portfolio of existing funders.Expand Girl Upโ€™s network of potential funders and strategically develop new prospects by building a network of substantial external partnerships, proactive outreach, ensuring pipeline of prospects meets funding needs and goals.Plan, execute, and engage in institutional donor and prospect cultivation meetings and events.Prepare fact sheets, proposals, decks, solicitations and other collateral for potential funders.Measure, evaluate, analyze and refine current fundraising strategies to enhance and grow sustainable revenue.Manage relationships by providing customized communication and frequent opportunities for engagement. Oversee stewardship activities; ensure a high-touch response rate and a high level of customer service to partners.Collaborate across departments to maximize funding opportunities, relay opportunities and expectations to/from prospects and Girl Up internal stakeholders.Manage a team of 1-2 development team members, motivating, advising, and establishing annual benchmarks and sustainable donor portfolios.Maintain a strong knowledge of Salesforce database ensure all prospects and contributions are processed and tracked within the UNF operating procedures, extract information and prepare reports.Other duties as assigned.
