The Officer, Global Health supports the implementation of the UN Foundationโs advocacy, communications, and resource mobilization strategy regarding key global health priorities. The Officer, Global Health conducts research and manages policy tracking, analysis, and synthesis of global health processes related to PPR, AMR, climate change, infectious diseases, and health financing to draft briefing papers, executive summaries, and presentations. The Officer, Global Health will also provide general project management and operational support to the Global Health team, including ensuring the flow of information between partners and key stakeholders, event planning and execution, as well as briefing and preparing Global Health leadership for high-level stakeholder engagement.
The Officer, Global Health reports to the Vice President, Global Health, and works closely with other members of the Global Health team.
This position is based in Washington, DC (Hybrid schedule).
Essential Functions
Strategy, Research, and Advocacy Support
Selection Criteria Bachelor's degree required.5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in global health policy, advocacy, international development, or other relevant fields. Experience in PPR, AMR, climate change, and/or infectious diseases is preferred.Proven experience working with senior decision-makers and their teams, including developing written materials such as analyses, reports, and talking points for executive leadership.Experience in event management is preferred.Excellent writing and analytical abilities, with a proven capacity to synthesize complex topics into clear, digestible briefings for both technical and non-technical audiences. A record of health-related publications is preferred.Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from diverse organizations and functional areas.Detail-oriented with robust project and time management skills, able to juggle multiple fast-paced tasks and deadlines simultaneously.Self-motivated and proactive, able to take initiative and manage multiple tasks across various projects while anticipating team needs. Dependable, consistent, and a collaborative team player.Ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that deadlines and project goals are consistently met without compromising quality.Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time.Ability to meet regular attendance and punctuality policies.Benefits & Compensation
