Position Title: Senior Cross-Site Mental Health Coordinator

Reports to: Associate Director of Mental Health

Location: Boston / Remote US

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:

The Partners In Health (PIH) Senior Cross-Site Mental Health Coordinator will be responsible for coordination and administration support for the PIH Mental Health team on mental health program implementation across global care delivery sites; the Cross-Site Mental Health Learning Collaborative; and communications within and outside PIH as appropriate. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong program management or administrative background; an interest or background in the field of global mental health; experience living and working in resource-limited settings; the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to produce high quality outcomes; comfort with collaborating with culturally diverse colleagues; and basic familiarity with monitoring, evaluation, and learning principles. The Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of Mental Health. This is a full-time position based in Boston or remote in the US. We are seeking a candidate who is committed to working, learning, and growing with the Cross-Site Mental Health team long-term in this role for two years or more.

Responsibilities:

Cross-Site Coordination and Programmatic Support (30%)

  • Coordinate activities of PIH mental health programs and teams in Haiti, Kazakhstan, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Mexico, Navajo Nation, PIH-US Peru, Rwanda, Sierra Leone. Keep abreast of ongoing needs and liaise with various teams to ensure timely follow through of tasks, providing program coordination and support assistance when appropriate. Coordinate activities with other departments in the U.S. Coordination Site, including Clinical, Strategic Information Systems, Marketing and Communications, Global Policy and Partnerships, and Development.
  • Support with knowledge management, training, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation in coordination with various team members.
  • Support daily processes of high priority grant activities including writing deliverables and reports.
  • Support program coordination for key initiatives in Sierra Leone and Rwanda for psychiatry residency education.
  • Liaise with PIH Staff Wellness team to ensure linkage and support across Cross-Site Mental Health and Staff Wellness teams.

    Communication (30%)

    • Communicate regularly with care delivery site staff working on mental health activities, as well as with other key stakeholders, to ensure that the mental health program is well integrated and positioned for long term success, including providing ongoing accompaniment to care delivery site program coordinators to build local coordination capacity.
    • Coordinate meetings with U.S. Coordination Site and care delivery site-based teams, maintaining a regular calendar by organizing participants, ensuring communication lines are prepared, developing meeting agendas, and coordinating visitors.
    • Organize and disseminate materials about the Cross-Site Mental Health program and care delivery site mental health activities, in coordination with Marketing and Communications, Development, and Impact & Planning teams.
    • Maintain and develop external dissemination materials about PIH Mental Health programs including website content, external resource library materials, brief documents, infographics, presentations, and reports.
    • Support documenting impact through communications materials, reports and data visualization.
    • Communicate with and foster relationships with visitors, volunteers, collaborators and external partners as appropriate.
    • Coordinate partnerships with internal and external groups and individuals as relevant.

      Administration (25%)

      • Oversee team calendar of regular calls, in person and virtual meetings, travel, events, conferences, and workplans.
      • Provide administrative, and programmatic support to care delivery site staff implementing mental health services or related activities.
      • Organize travel logistics, and agendas for Cross-Site Mental Health team and care delivery site-based colleagues.
