Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Field Security Officer, the incumbent will be carrying out the following duties:

Maintaining travel security and co-ordinating immediate response to security incidents or accidents involving Mission members, assets and operations. Collecting information from various sources and disseminating it on a daily basis regarding security incidents or events that may impact the security and safety of the Mission. Operating and monitoring VHF radio communication, satellite phones, vehicle GPS tracking systems, alarm systems and Closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, and efficiently using all these communication and monitoring systems in the event of an incident/accident, or crisis. Providing daily physical security and responding to Mission offices, assets and personnel in all locations (HQ, RCs and Logistics base). Ensuring that all personnel carry valid OMiK ID cards and that visitors entering the building receive a temporary Visitor Pass. Ensuring that visitors, luggage, parcels and mail are examined using the respective scanners. Conducting mobile security patrolling of various areas as instructed, as well as patrolling locations where Mission activities are taking place and providing immediate security assistance to OSCE staff involved in incidents/accidents. Responding instantly and professionally to any emergencies involving Mission members and assets. Performing other duties as assigned.

Necessary Qualifications:

Completed secondary education supplemented by advanced physical security and first-aid formal trainings Valid (B) driving license (C driving license is desirable) At least two years of experience in security and safety area, preferably in international organizations Established experience using Radio VHF Computer literate with practical experience in Microsoft applications Knowledge on the use of CCTV and GPS tracking software Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and in the local languages Ability to work with people of different nationalities, religions, and cultural backgrounds Demonstrates gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities

Remuneration Package:

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 792 Euro/month. Social benefits will include participation in the OSCE Group Insurance Plan and the OSCE Provident Fund.

Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority, a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions.
