    The Security and Safety Services Team at UN Women Headquarters in New York seeks to enlist a full-time Consultant to support in the development of an internal ‘Access Analytical Process and Service’. The strategy will be to initially target hostile and high-risk environments, aligned to our 2024 Humanitarian Outreach capacity. The Consultant will research and develop a robust specific gender orientated access analytical capacity for the organization, the focus, to identify information streams, prevention and mitigation measures, implementation strategies and associated materials/products.  

    This international-level consultancy position is located within the UN Women Department of Management and Administration, Office of the Security and Safety Services. The Access Analyst Focal Point will report directly to the UN Women and Safety Training & Admin Analyst, under the overall oversight of the Global Security Adviser.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    In line with the approved UN Women Security and Safety Services Bi-annual Work Plan (BWP). The Access Analyst Focal Point will provide support to the development of outputs, whilst also scoping internal UN Women programme security access requirements; will take the lead in developing gender specific information streams, prevention, and mitigation measures; and coordinate with the UN Women Security and Safety Services Communications Focal Point with regard a roll out plan and materials for implementation. 

    The Consultant will be responsible for the following:    

  • Research and develop an internal UN Women ‘Access Analytical Process and Service’, focused on high-risk and hostile environments and implement such services.
  • Complete analysis of existing material related to Access Analytical Process and Service to assess the scope and extent of further information collection process. 
• Support team members in sharing best practices on the Access Analytical Process.
