The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is mandated to lead and coordinate international action to protect and assist refugees and other persons of concern.
Private Sector Partnerships Service (PSP) is part of UNHCR's Division of External Relations (DER) and is responsible for mobilizing resources from the private sector for refugees. UNHCR has developed a Private Sector Fundraising Strategy focusing on both Individual Giving and Private Sector Partnerships, identifying priority fundraising markets and regions.
More specifically, intern will sit in the Support team, which takes care of a variety of duties, including Administration, Finance, Data Protection, Supply and Human Resources, for the PSP Italy Unit.
Duties and Responsibilities
As part of the PSP Support team the intern will collaborate with all team members by:

โ€ข Supporting the procurement focal point in the tendering processes, from tender preparation to contract administration in accordance with relevant procurement policies.
โ€ข Running market research and vendor scouting activities to support Fundraising needs.
โ€ข Supporting in maintaining up-to-date and improving the current suppliersโ€™ database.
โ€ข Supporting the team in keeping up to date the dedicated team area on SP365
โ€ข Proactively participating in team meetings
โ€ข Providing administrative support required to assist the team, including during the ERP Cloud migration.
โ€ข Supporting the travel focal point in travel preparation in accordance with the relevant travel policies
โ€ข Supporting the management of a website with Microsoft SharePoint 365*
โ€ข Assisting with the management of IT devices
โ€ข Helping with the preparation or update of financial reports with Microsoft Excel
โ€ข Accessing, exporting, editing and sharing of bank records
โ€ข Assisting in answering inquiries concerning data protection
โ€ข Helping with miscellaneous administrative and financial tasks, including the validation of signed documents, and the downloading and sharing of digital invoices

Minimum qualifications required
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office applications.
Excellent drafting/writing skills.
Italian and English at C1 level.
IT knowledge

Be a recent graduate5 or current student in a graduate/undergraduate school programme from a university or higher education facility accredited by UNESCO; b. Have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant or of interest to the work of the Organization; and c. Not have immediate relatives (father, mother, brother, or sister) working for UNHCR as a staff member on any contract type or as an affiliate at the time of application.
