BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, working towards
achieving a world with zero hunger. We are seeking to fill the position of Project Manager, based
in the Analytics, Governance and Knowledge Management (PSCA) team of the Partnerships
Coordination Service (PCS) at our Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
WFP relies entirely on voluntary contributions to finance its projects. Relationships with fundraising
partners from the public sector are pivotal in supporting WFP projects in all the countries where we
work; saving lives and reducing hunger across the globe. WFP uses Salesforce as its donor
relationship system and the organization is introducing a Contract Lifecycle Management solution
to manage its legal agreements and the relevant obligations they contain. The Consultant will report
to the Partnerships Officer and will be working alongside them to support the programing and
implementation of IT systems for partnerships (in particular, Salesforce and Contract Lifecycle
Management solutions).
The Contract Lifecycle Management Solution will transform the way WFP manages its legal
agreements and tracks compliance. WFP will use the CLM for three main functions: a repository of
agreements and clauses; workflow for internal consultations on legal terms; and obligation tracking
for colleagues in the field who are implementing the agreements. The incumbent will facilitate
refining the business requirements with internal, cross-functional stakeholders, prioritize them,
and work with the CLM vendor to implement WFP's business requirements. The Project Manager
will also be responsible for the pilot of the solution as well as its global rollout.ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Under the Programme Managerโs supervision, s/he will maximize the value of the CLM
through understanding business requirements; relevant systems and how they integrate;
and end-user needs and constraints support.
2. Provide clear technical, functional and business requirements to the vendor and collaborate
to program the solution according to WFP specifications, systems and policies.
3. Work with internal teams (TEC, Partnerships, CFO Division, Risk Management, and others)
to program the solution and test its implementation in real use cases.
4. Oversee global roll out and adoption including change management activities as required,
and organizing support and end-user training for the IT solution.
5. Ensure the CLM supports relevant policies, norms, rules and procedures.
6. Additional tasks as required.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: Advanced university degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Project
Management, Business, International Development, Social Sciences and/or
other relevant field.
Experience: Minimum 6 years of proven experience in IT Project and / or Product
Management and / or as Product Owner.
Experience working with a Contract Lifecycle Management (or similar) solution
and Salesforce preferred.
Familiarity with SAP preferred.
Experience providing training on IT solutions to global audiences is an asset.
Experience in donor relations or partnership negotiations in an international
organization is an advantage.
Knowledge & Strong planning, management, and coordination skills; Able to articulate
complex concepts in non-technical language; Ability to think creatively,
Skills: strategically, and identify and resolve problems; Well organized and detail
oriented; Ability to work in a multi-cultural and dynamic environment.
Languages: Excellent oral and communication skills. Full proficiency in English, knowledge
