To provide effective specialized support and technical analyses to policy and programme activities that effectively meet food assistance needs.Job Description
This position is based in Kabul Area Office
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
Provide technical support and assist in the development and implementation of various activities and processes within the specific area of work supporting alignment with wider programme policies and guidelines.
Supervising the M&E and VAM unit and assure that projects are monitored timely and accurately in accordance with WFP country office's Sampling Strategic Data collection by deploying PAT and WFP field monitors. And manage corporate platform are updated and actions are taken on monitoring findings.
Proper M&E planning and data management using COMET, Process Monitoring Tracker, MODA, KOBO, Centralized Field Monitoring tools.
Management of Third-party monitoring teams in the region, Meetings with TPM Senior management Team at country level, conducting performance evaluations under third party monitoring services provider company, Providing practical advice, guidance, and trainings over quality of reports / field issues / feedback & comments.
Providing Support to regional FSAC meetings, MFI Surveys, regional Pre-Lean Survey, regional SFSA Assessment, attending and representing the region in IPC Acute workshops and other food security related meetings including SLP sessions, including collection of regular market prices for analyses to support programme in decision making.
Provide specialized project management support to specific and/or defined programmes to ensure that the various activities are performed within the established targets following WFPโs policies and procedures. Follow and verification of CFM cases on regular bases.
Within the specific area of responsibility, prepare a range of reports and data analysis (e.g., food assistance needs, resource utilization, programme status, performance) and highlight trends/issues ensuring deliverables adhere to corporate standards and quality control.
Ensure and/or perform accurate, timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work (e.g., assistance programmes, food security and vulnerability assessments) and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
Liaise with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation, and monitoring of ongoing project activities. Work closely with FSAC partners to know their plan, share update to FSAC chairs.
Coordinate and communicate with local partners, agencies, NGOs, and government institutions to perform accurate food security analyses and to ensure efficient delivery of food assistance.
Support the capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners and national government within the specific technical area on M&E and Food security.
Act as a point of contact for resolution of a range of operational queries and problems within a specific technical area of responsibility.
Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP is able to quickly respond and deploy Monitors and TPM to affected areas at the onset of the crisis
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in B.Sc, B.A in Economics, Agriculture or other relevant field.
Experience: Six years of experience working in programme unit with humanitarian sectors.Knowledge and Skills:
โข Has worked with technical teams (i.e. nutrition, VAM, etc.).โข Has contributed to implementation of programs
โข Has observed or assisted with policy discussions.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English, Pashto and/or Dari.WFP LEADERSHIP FRAMEWORK
