Background

DRC merged its Algeria, Libya and Tunisia (ALT) operations in 2023 with one coordination office supporting the different field bases. The position holder will be Responsible for supporting DRC ALT country program to sustain, develop and identify partnership opportunities to improve the quality and relevance of DRCโ€™s work. DRC ALT has an ambitious partnership and localisation strategy and this position is pivotal in ensuring its implementation. DRC has multiple ongoing partnerships in the three countries across its core sectors; protection, humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding, economic recovery and its emergency response in East Libya.

Purpose

Based in the Tunis, to support the DRC Algeria, Libya, Tunisia country program. This position will support the reinforcement of an efficient and timely grant management for DRC ALT and the current protection monitoring and advocacy initiatives. The position is directly managed by the Head of Progamme in close collaboration with the PDQM (Programme Development Quality Manager) and the Protection Manager.

Responsabilities

The responsibilities expected for this position are:

Contribute to internal and external reporting, ensuring high-quality, well-written and timely reports meeting donor and DRC requirements, with support from the Program team; Support on keeping track on and coordinate donor reporting schedule and requirements, as stipulated in the various donor contracts, through the preparation of the Rolling action plan ensuring all relevant staff are aware of their obligations and oversee the timely drafting of donor reports with program staff; Oversee the grants component of DRC Dynamics system; Assist the Country team in proposal development tasks, through collecting and compiling necessary inputs from program staff, technical advisors, HQ/RO and partners (if relevant) in line with the proposal development plan; supporting in the writing of the proposal as needed; ensuring donor guidelines are respected; Support the analysis of protection monitoring dashboards and the draft of protection analysis reports; Support and lead on advocacy initiatives based on first hand DRC data

Post-graduate degree (Bachelor/ Master) from a recognized University in Social Science, International or Development studies or related areas; Excellent writing, proof-reading, and communication skills; Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills; Strong ability to adapt, take initiative and work in a multicultural environment; Interest for humanitarian sector and donorโ€™s environment; Listening, analytical and synthesis skills; Excellent communication skills, as well as patience and politeness, are required; Exemplary sense of ethics in the workplace; An engagement with an NGO or in civil society (past or present) is a most appreciated; Proficiency (written and spoken) of the English language; Proficiency in French and/or Arabic an advantage Advanced practical knowledge Microsoft Office Pack (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook etc.), and online tools
