World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the worldโ€™s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Program Operations Coordinator, Country Office Unit and LAC Secretariat.

Major Functions

This position is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day program operation activities for the Country Office Unit that includes a variety of coordination duties and special projects to deliver the Unitโ€™s strategy working closely with COU functional areas (Communications and Conservation). This position supports the SVP, US Country Offices and LAC Secretariat and liaise effectively with the COU members WWF US Country Offices, other network offices as well as external partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the planning and execution of strategic global events and conferences lead by the SVP, US Country Offices and LAC Secretariat, and prepares variety of reports, presentations, spreadsheets and other relevant materials.Compile and organize accurate, credible information on a subject to provide support for the SVP, US Country Offices and LAC Secretariat for speaking engagements and creation of reports and presentations.Coordinates SVPโ€™ special projects that supports the COUโ€™s strategy & LAC, LAC Forum, advisory boards and region governance members.Partner with the Conservation Strategy team in the coordination of training and facilitation of events with Country Offices, including developing agendas, preparing materials, scheduling meetings and workshops, and coordinating follow up.Collaborate with the Internal Communications & Knowledge Management Lead in the design of internal communications materials for specific purposes and support specific initiatives lead by the Country Office Unit and update of the COU Knowledge Management Platform.Responsible for logistical support for the SVP, US Country Offices and LAC Secretariat including:

Managing the calendars of the SVP and LAC Secretariat to optimize time and to facilitate the exchange of information.

Coordinates all aspects of meetings, travel, training, and other events.

Delegates assignments to other staff at the request of and on behalf of the SVP. Monitors deadlines, follows up on delegated tasks and provides appropriate reminders. Coordinates any mailings or other distributions of information from the SVP, both internally and externally. Creates and maintains community with the COUโ€™s Operations Coordinator and Executive Assistants in Country Offices to foster collaboration in mutual projects and development of sharing and learning spaces.Other functions as required.

Qualifications

A bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent experience is required. Any experience on areas related to conservation, operations, financial management, risk management, communications, business analysis, knowledge management or technology, not required but a plus.Energetic, forward thinking, creative individual with high ethical standardsExceptional interpersonal and relationship-building competencies coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively and under pressure on a variety of simultaneous initiatives and issues.Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a matrixed team environment.Proven detail oriented and organized individual able to prioritize from a diversity of requirements.Excellent interpersonal skills requiring knowing when to use courtesy, tact and/or diplomacy to effectively communicate with all constituents.
