5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

JOB SUMMARY:

At CSIS we actively seek to employ a diverse group of people who embody our organizational values. We welcome and encourage individuals of all backgrounds to apply, especially those from traditionally underrepresented groups.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision makers in government, international institutions, the private sector, and civil society. Over the years, it has grown to be one of the largest organizations of its kind, with a staff of more than 200 employees working to address the changing dynamics of international security across the globe.ย

The Diversity and Leadership in International Affairs Project (DLIA) was launched in 2017 and embodies a two-fold mandate focused on internally and externally facing programming. We aim to take a full-scope approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at CSIS. This includes supporting employees at every level through dedicated initiatives, ensuring support from top-level leadership, and establishing a transparent process for continuous engagement and growth. Alongside an internal portfolio serving over 250 CSIS staff, DLIA aims to promote diverse voices, facilitate meaningful conversations, and drive DEI strategy as an institutional imperative for the national security community.

CSIS is seekingย a program manager to join a fast-paced team, a growing portfolio, and assist with substantial project management and administrative support. This position will work closely with the DLIA Director to implement the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan through all the programmatic priorities and initiatives.

Candidates must live in, or be willing toย relocate to, the Washington Metropolitan area. The positions will be predominantly in-person with some flexibility for remote working. The anticipated start date for the role will be towards the end of June โ€“ early July.ย

The minimum salary for the Program Manager position is $58,000.
