ICRISAT seeks applications from dynamic Indian Nationals for Officer โ Program Financial Assistant under Global Research Program Accelerated Crop Improvement. The position will be based at ICRISAT, Patancheru, Hyderabad and will report administratively to the Global Research Director of Accelerated Crop Improvement.

Description:
The Finance Assistant will be responsible for monitoring expenditure on the portfolio of grants held by the Accelerated Crop Improvement Program. This will require liaison on a regular basis with Finance, cluster and project leads, while taking an active role to identify and flag up potential problems to the Global Program Director (ACI). The position will be based at ICRISAT, Patancheru, Hyderabad and will report administratively to the Global Research Director of Accelerated Crop Improvement.
Responsibilities:
- To maintain oversight of grant expenditure, along with Financeย
- To prepare reports and information on expenditure to GPD ACIย
- To assist in preparing budgets for grant applicationsย
- To assist in preparing project expenditure plans for active projectsย
- To provide regular summaries of expenditure (where needed) to Cluster Leadersย
- To familiarize new staff in ACI with Financial systems within Research, when neededย
- To act as contact point for the GPD ACI on Financial mattersย
- To deputize for the GPD ACI on other matters, as agreedEssentials:
- An understanding of basic book-keepingย
- Experience of working with company financesย
- Meticulous and accurate, detail orientated personDesirable:
- Qualification/certificate in book-keeping or similarย
- Experience of working with Oracle systemsย
- Experience of regular financial report generationย

This is a contractual role for a period of 36 months (3 years).
