About Ma3an Project:
Ma3an is a seven-year program funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented in cooperation with the Presidency of the Government. Ma3anโs goal to increase Tunisian youth civic engagement and economic opportunities. At the community level, Ma3an uses a community-driven youth development model to inform and support sustainable interventions through ongoing collaboration between community actors that are inclusive, participatory, and solutions-driven. These include working with and through local CSO partners to understand local dynamics in each community; and implement community-driven youth development programming involving youth, local NGOs, local government, and other community leaders through community-specific grants.
The Program Assistant will directly work with and report to the regional program manager under the project Ma3an.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Supporting the Regional program manager to implement the activities to expand access to youth civic engagement skills and opportunities.
- Supporting the Regional program manager in the monitoring and follow up with the YLN and YEE partners activities.
- Support the reporting on success stories and provide highlights of the partners, youth and ma3an program activities.
- Attending coordination meeting including with the different project components and provide support on how to continually adapt the activities to ensure it remains relevant and effective.
- Drafting reports, meeting, translate documents, meeting minutes and other reporting documents as needed.
- Supporting the Regional program manager in organizing regional / national workshops concerning the YCC implemented activities.
- Support the Regional program manager to Coordinate with the MEL Knowledge Management team and support the facilitation of discussions on impacts on Ma3an activities.
- Collaborate with the Communication team to properly communicate on relevant results /success stories of the ma3an program activities and achievements on the Ma3an social media.
- Ensure that activities are infused with principles of Do No Harm / conflict sensitivity.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the regional program manager
- Respect and abide by all the internal regulations of FHI 360 platform office.
Criteria
- Master degree or its international equivalent in Communication, literature, Business Administration, Finance, International Development, Management, or a related field
- A minimum of one-year relevant professional experience on international development programs and/or work in the civil society sector of Tunisia and/or other countries
- Experience working in relevant programs in the Tunisian context, such as youth development and/or community engagement/Civic engagement.
- Ability to work effectively with local partners and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team.
- Strong analytical, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with international development donorsโ, particularly USAID, programs, rules, and regulations preferred.
- Ability to translate documents from Arabic to English
- Fluency in English, French and/or Arabic.
