JOB PURPOSE:
To support all Operational Information Management & Performance Reporting (OIM & PR) activities using advanced technology to support enhancing standard and consistent operating picture of WFP operations and associated results to facilitate automated informed and timely decision-making at all levels throughout the organization.JOB TITLE: Partnerships (Reporting) Officer

DURATION: 6 months
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Not all-inclusive, not exhaustive):
- Support staff in assigned area to ensure that standard OIM & PR procedures and templates are followed to drive the quality, consistency and standardization of information management and performance reporting across WFP.
- Gather and analyze relevant information and data from media and local internal and external sources to facilitate and maximize the exchange of information and data flow between functional area networks in WFP, to provide operational awareness and understanding of events that may have humanitarian and/or operational impact.
- Contribute to the collation of political and humanitarian analysis pertaining to WFP current or future responses and donor policies, trends and preferences to ensure country specific input to WFP's operational reporting.
- Contribute to the preparation of the Operational Task Force (OTF) meeting briefs for Senior Leaders (CO and RBJ) in collaboration with the country office programme, monitoring & evaluation, logistics and resource management functions by coordination to ensure coherence and quality of performance information.
- Collaborate with counterparts internally and with other UN agencies to ensure consistency in humanitarian information and to complement WFP analysis and information.
- Support the enhancement of the capacity of WFP staff and partners to effectively manage operational information and performance reporting through assisting in the delivery of the OIM & PR training on core competencies. Support the drafting of, and contribute to, any OIM & PR related normative guidance as required.
- Contribute to initiatives for developing improved, streamlined, and harmonized OIM&PR. Systematize information, data analysis and visual presentations. Support the preparation of thematic briefs for the Executive Director, Regional Bureau and other key internal stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of advocacy documents for resource mobilization through proposals, donor reports, and communication products including infographics and fact sheets, highlighting operational achievements.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE
- Data analytics and creative design and visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Advanced technology applications and software.
- Information management best practices and processes with some understanding of the basic theoretical background
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including substantive analysis and report writing skills.
- Has motivated team spirit and contributed to a gender-balanced, inclusive and sound working environment.
- Minimum one or more years of relevant professional work experience in reporting roles.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
EDUCATION:
Advanced University degree in Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, International Relations, Law, Marketing, Communications or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or trainings/courses
EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year of postgraduate professional experience in Political Science, International Development, Development Economics, International Relations, Law, Marketing, Communications or First University degree with additional years of related work experience.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Specialised knowledge of information management best practices, techniques and processes with some understanding of the basic theoretical background.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including substantive analysis and report writing skills.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly assimilate to UN/WFP specific processes and systems.
- Demonstrated competence in use of spreadsheets, data presentation and reporting skills.
LANGUAGE:
Fluency (Level C) in the English and intermediate or advanced (level B) of French is required.
