    Background and Purpose:

    The World Food Programme (WFP), the worldโ€™s largest humanitarian agency and 2020 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, is dedicated to achieving Zero Hunger. In Somalia, WFP collaborates with the government, communities, and partners to deliver both crisis response and resilience programs under its Country Strategic Plan (CSP) 2022-2025. This includes providing relief assistance, implementing long-term resilience programs, and strengthening livelihoods and food systems with a focus on capacity building.

    The Partnerships and Communications team leads advocacy, resource mobilization, and partnership development to support WFPโ€™s CSP goals. The Partnerships Officer will focus on resource mobilization, identifying new donor opportunities (e.g., IFIs, private sector, innovative financing), strategic positioning, and fostering partnerships related to SDG 2, while enhancing internal collaboration within WFP.

    The position reports to the Head of Partnerships and is based in Mogadishu, Somalia
