Mission and objectivesThe United Nations World Food Programme is the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. The mission of WFP is to help the world achieve Zero Hunger in our lifetimes. The country strategic plan is aligned with the United Nations sustainable development cooperation framework for Bangladesh for 2022โ2026 and the eighth five-year plan (covering the period July 2020โJune 2025) of the Government of Bangladesh. It is informed by the recommendations of an independent evaluation of the country strategic plan for 2017โ2021 and consultation with key stakeholders. It will contribute to Sustainable Development Goals 2 and 17 through four strategic outcomes. WFP is committed to diversity and inclusion within its workforce. ContextThe WFP Bangladesh country strategic plan (2022โ2026) consists of four strategic outcomes. The Partnerships, Communication, and Reporting (PCR) unit is responsible for identifying new partnership, leveraging existing WFP partnership, and enhancing visibility of partners to support the achievement of its Country Strategic Plan outcomes. To support the country in reaching its long-term development goals and responding to the Rohingya crisis, WFP closely collaborates with UN agencies, non-governmental organization (NGO) partners, private sector actors, civil society, international financial institutions, donors, and research partners in line with its new resource mobilization strategy.
Task DescriptionUnder the direct supervision of Partnerships Team Lead, the UNV is responsible for assisting WFP Bangladesh Country Office PCR team in achieving the goals set out in its Country Strategic Plan (2022-2026). Donor Mission Coordination:- 1. Coordinate with the office of the Head of Coxโs Bazar Area Office, programme units, field operations, admin, fleet, finance for the preparation of donor missions. 2. Prepare agendas for donor field visits in coordination with relevant programme units and ensure smooth facilitation of the visits. 3. Prepare quality briefing kits and donor intelligence materials for Head of Area Office and relevant colleagues. 4. Coordinate with other UN agencies to advocate for WFP's programmatic needs, and select the most suitable camp sites in collaboration with relevant programme unit. 5. Support communications team with visibility items from field missions. Donor Relations/Resource Mobilization:- 1. Coordinate and/or draft partnerships materials such as proposals, concept notes to mobilize resources in collaboration with several units particularly with the Programme, Resource Management, and M&E units. 2. Support in the preparation of presentations for donor meetings 3. Build effective and strong relationships with existing partners and donors. 4. Draft donor thank you letters on behalf of senior management ensuring it contains up-to-date in-formation. 5. Revise and review partnership correspondence and documentation, including donor visibility materials, providing feedback and amendments to ensure timely production and quality standards. 6. Address complex business support queries from donor partners and WFP regional/ HQ/ glob-al offices to provide timely and accurate solutions. 7. Assist in preparing materials such as donor matrix, meeting minutes, briefing notes, and proposals.

Living conditions and remarksCox's Bazar is a coastal district of Chittagong division in Bangladesh. This city is surrounded by Chittagong Division in south-eastern Bangladesh, beside 'Myanmar (Burma)' and alongside the beach of the Bay of Bengal and the Indian ocean. It is one of the most-visited tourist destinations in Bangladesh. The climate of Bangladesh is mostly determined by its location in the tropical monsoon region: high temperature, heavy rainfall, generally excessive humidity, and distinct seasonal variations. The climate of Cox's bazar is mostly similar to the rest of the country. It is further characterized by the location in the coastal area. Bangladesh has standard security measures for UN staff and volunteers. Coxโs Bazar is categorized as a hardship station category D, and the volunteer should be prepared for limitations in freedom of movement to certain locations.
