Functional Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Partnerships Advisor, the Partnerships Assistant will carry out specific responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with both quantitative and qualitative research on key stakeholders and policies;
  • Provide logistical support for the Member States Outreach activities;
  • Assist with research on key stakeholders and policies;
  • Provide logistical support for the Member States Outreach activities;
  • Draft talking points, background notes, and meeting summaries;
  • Assist in the development and presentation of reports, presentations and articles, including statistical and graphical material.
  • Support to administrative services, such as invoice payments
  • Provide coordination support for events, workshops and other events as required

Education/Experience/Language requirements

A. Education

  • Secondary school education

B. Experience

  • Very good knowledge of the UN system (main bodies, agencies, funds, and programs). Prior experiences of working for international development institutions are desirable

C. Language

  • Proficiency in both written and verbal skills in English. A writing sample in English is required. Fluency in an additional UN language is an asset.

  • Contract type: Local Individual Contractor Agreement - LICA
  • Contract level: LICA-4
