Monitoring and Business Analytics Consultant - ORP/GCM

About this position
We are looking for detailed oriented and passionate professional, who will help us change people lives in Latin America and the Caribbean supporting the management of grant and externally financed projects through trust funds and co-financing resources.
You will work in the Grants and Cofinancing Management Unit (GCM) part of the Office of Outreach and Partnerships (ORP). GCM serves as an accountable interface that links partners resources to IDB projects, knowledge products, and programs that meet the needs of Latin America and the Caribbean through close coordination with IDBGโs operational units and the Resource Mobilization Division. The GCM key functional areas include managing partner resources, ensuring compliance with donor agreements and IDB policies, as well as reporting back to partners.
What youโll do:
- Identify, retrieve, and analyze data from Bank data systems on the overall dimensions of Technical Cooperation operations financed by internal resources as well as all operations financed by external resources.
- Support the development processes to streamline and automatize periodical reports on operations financed by either external resources or the Bank's ordinary capital ones.
- Support BI Group lead in identifying data needs and developing new projects to address them.
- Conduct data collection exercises, including the design and implementation and analysis of surveys on client satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain ORP Analytics Data Portal, using a mix of Visual Studio, SharePoint, PowerBI, and other tools.
- Support the maintenance of ORP/GCM Salesforce-based donor portal, including ETL automation.
- In coordination with the Office RPA, prepare training programs for new technologies according to the business requirements, workforce competencies and workplan.
- Support ORP Front Office on visualization and reporting needs according to the ORP communications plan.
- Production of ad hoc reports.
Others:
- Internalize the business of GCM and how it relates to the IT products supported.
- Present findings in well organized and clearly written reports.
- Contribute to a collegial and team-based work environment of the unit.
- Exercise initiative in selecting and applying research and data analysis techniques.
- Work effectively on more than one project at the same time.
- Respond to any other priorities the Lead, Unit or ORP Front desk will require.
What you'll need:
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in Engineering, Data Science, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: At least two (2) years of related experience.
- Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.
Core and Technical Competencies:
- The candidate should have advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
- Software development (.NET, C#).
- SQL queries for SQL Server, Oracle and DB2.
- Reporting tools such as Crystal reports, Tableau, Power BI.
- Experience with Salesforce desirable.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling techniques.
- Other: Be proactive, customer service oriented, reliable, and responsible to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Excellent time management skills to comply with strict deadlines within overall roll-out schedule.

Requirements:
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Type of contract and duration:
- Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time.
- Length of contract: 19 months (With possible extensions up to 36 months).
