About this position:
We are looking for skilled, strategic and adaptive Legal Operations Analyst or Business Analyst to strategically analyze legal operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to the implementation of process enhancements, legal knowledge management initiatives and legal technology solutions.
You will work in the Front Office part of the Legal department under the supervision of the Resource Planning and Administration Officer. Our Legal Department advises Management, the Board of Executive Directors, and the Board of Governors on all legal matters relating to IDB Invest. As part of its functions, the Legal Department provides a full range of legal support to Non-Sovereign Guaranteed (NSG) operations throughout the entire transaction cycle, including origination, portfolio management, and workouts, as well as the development of new products. We also provide legal advice on all institutional and financial matters for IDB Invest, including governance, financial management, institutional integrity, and administration of human resources.
What youโll do:
- Support in data analytics and modeling activities within the Legal Department which contributes to an effective monitoring of legal operations and departmental decision making, including execution of data preparation activities, analyze, and interpret data from various business and legal sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and prepare and automate regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Collaborate with diverse teams within the Legal Department to document and map out process flowcharts, standard operating procedures, and best practice guidelines while supporting the identification of inefficiencies and areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce risks and optimize resource allocation
- Collaborate with cross departmental working groups to ensure smooth deployment, integration, and user adoption of technology solutions, such as matter management and e-billing systems, legal knowledge platforms, contract management systems, amongst others.
What you'll need :
- Education: Bachelorโs degree in business administration, legal studies, information technology, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
- Experience: At least 2+ years of progressive relevant professional experience preferably in legal departments.
- Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Requirements:
- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

- Type of contract: Consultant Full-Time.
