About this position
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and knowledgeable SuccessFactors Technical Lead to support our People Management products. As Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, configuration, and implementation of SAP SuccessFactors suite and oversee its integrations from/to other systems while guiding a team of developers and consultants to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable systems.
You will serve as the primary point of technical contact within your teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, coding best practices, and business objectives. The role combines hands-on development with leadership and mentoring responsibilities, playing a critical role in shaping both project outcomes and team development.
You will work with the People Management Product teamsโ that are part of the Enterprise Product group in the Banks Technology and Transformation Department. These teams are responsible for supporting and maintaining the daily operations of our SuccessFactors Enterprise Systems of the Bank, as well as developing and implementing new projects and initiatives in our SuccessFactors Business Suite.
What youโll do
- Guide the technical direction of a development team, ensuring that software solutions are aligned with strategic goals and delivered on time.
- Act as both a technical expert and a team leader, balancing architectural thinking with hands-on configuration and delivery.
- Act as the architect of SuccessFactors to lead the technical design, configuration, integration, and evolution of our SAP SuccessFactors ecosystem.
- Serve as the technical authority across all SuccessFactors modules
- Lead, design, and implement SuccessFactors integrations from/to SAP S/4 Hana HCM and from/to other systems.
- Work across agile teams and products to coordinate development activities and resolve technical dependencies or blockers.
- Champion engineering excellence and fosters a collaborative, high-performance development culture.
- Lead the planning, design, configuration, development, and delivery of complex software projects and system components.
- Provide hands-on configurations, and configurations and integration reviews reviews to ensure quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborating with architects and other tech leads to define system architecture and technical roadmaps.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for project stakeholders, including product owners, project managers, and business analysts.
- Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Coach and mentor team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.
- Establish and enforce configuration standards, development workflows, and technical best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across configuration and development processes and tools.
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies early in the development cycle.
- Ensure alignment with DevOps, testing, security, and deployment standards.
What you'll need
โข Education:
Masterโs Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other fields relevant to the role responsibilities. In lieu of a Master Degree, a Bachelorโs Degree in one of the above curriculums AND at least two certifications in the following:
ยท SAP Certified Associate - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Core and any other SuccessFactors Talent Management certification
ยท SAP Certified Associate - Implementation Consultant - SAP SuccessFactors Full Cloud/Core Hybrid
ยท SAP Certified Associate - Integration Developer โ SAP CPI
ยท SAP Certified Professional - Solution Architect - SAP BTP
ยท SAP Certified Associate - Positioning SAP Business Suite via SAP SuccessFactors HCM Solutions
ยท SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP HCM or similar
โข Experience: At least 6 years of progressive experience in Software Engineering, SuccessFactors implementations, and application support. Previous experience working with SAP HCM is highly preferable.
โข Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

- Citizenship: You currently reside or plan to reside in one of the countries listed below with citizenship in that country.
- Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Location
The position can be based in any of the following countries: Argentina, Bahamas, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cost Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Spain, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago and Uruguay.
Type of contract and duration
National (Local Remote Staff): National staff contract under a fully remote modality, 36 months. This contract is part of a program to hire staff to work fully remotely (not office-based). The program is set to expire at the end of 2028 and it may be extended, if successful.
