Work LocationHome based with possible travel within Pakistan Expected duration11.02.2026 โ 31.05.2026 Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the overall supervision of Advisor Criminal Justice and Legal Reforms, the incumbent will be responsible to undertake the following duties and responsibilities: A: Communications, Visibility and Outreach Support Programme activities โข Conceptualize, design and implement high profile launch events both at the federal and provincial level ; โข Ensure targeted media coverage to showcase and promote awareness on the key components over the life cycle of the programme through social media coverage, briefings, media tours and interviews of key designated spokespersons from donors, UNODC, and Government of Balochistan; โข Design, support and implement visibility events including workshops, trainings, stakeholder consultations, working groups over the course of the project to highlight programme interventions and progress and generate media outreach (subject to COVID-sensitive approaches as required); โข Beneficiary stories disseminated in regional and local print media publications to highlight the efforts and interventions in the rule of law sector. Stories also compiled and published in booklet form for wider dissemination at project related advocacy events/seminars; โข Blogs and web stories to highlight various UNODC-supported efforts and interventions in the rule of law sector in Pakistan over the course of the programme; โข Project and promote rule of law interventions on UN agencies' social media pages through web stories and UNODCโs Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram to showcase rule of law related work. โข Publications/knowledge products such as thematic briefs/newsletters, brochures and flyers to create awareness on the available rule of law mechanisms as well as to present project's key successes and updates as part of advocacy efforts. B: Communications and Outreach of allied activities led by the Criminal Justice and Legal Reforms Programme โข Coordinate and facilitate organization of workshops, webinars, seminars and learning events โข Provide internal and external targeted advocacy and communications support through relevant information products (e.g. leaflets, updates, brochures, advocacy and information kits etc), showcasing the work of the Criminal Justice and Legal Reforms Programme, ensuring visibility of achievements and key results (impact-driven) led by the ongoing reforms, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Corruption Programme โข Develop and design a quarterly programme Newsletter reflecting the work of the SP 2 and highlighting the main achievements and the impact of the SPโs work. โข Develop and design success stories focusing on the impact of the SP 2โs work on the lives of Pakistani citizens. โข Develop various written communication documents and promotional material as per need โข Promote UNODCโs SPIIโs work on social media. Qualifications/special skillsAn advanced university degree (masterโs degree or equivalent) in Communication, journalism, digital marketing or other related fields is required. A first-level university degree in the aforementioned fields in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying work experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree is required. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of communications for governance reforms, advocacy, campaign design and development, media journalism or/and communication is required. Demonstrated ability in translating evidence-based programmatic and policy reports into communications materials for various stakeholders is required Ability to plan and orchestrate programmatic knowledge into learning and advocacy events Demonstrated experience in producing multimedia (video) content is desired; Experience working in the area of Criminal Justice/Rule is desired. Demonstrated ability in ensuring consistency through applying visibility and branding guidelines is desired LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English, with excellent drafting and communication skills, is required. Fluency in local language Urdu is desired.
