Responsibilities

Based in the European Union and under the overall supervision of the Senior Director, Partnerships Stewardship Innovation and Intelligence, the Partnerships Stewardship Job Trainee will:

  • Assist with conducting research, and with preparing and collating background materials for the engagement of CGIAR with existing and prospective high-level institutional partners.
  • Support the organization of meeting agendas, and the preparation of talking points and briefs.
  • Keep minutes at key meetings and support follow-up and tracking of agreed-upon deliverables and actions.
  • Support the prototyping of CGIAR's Engagement Framework, version 2.0.
  • Support the design and prototyping of a protocol to monitor \"partnerships health--\".
  • Support engagement with key partners to create a new standardized set of guiding principles for engagement with partners in the Global South.
  • Assist with producing communications briefs about progress with partnerships arrangement to share with CGIAR's community.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements
    Essential Requirements

    • Secondary school education
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite packages
    • Working knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
    • Good interpersonal, communications and teamwork skills, courtesy and tact, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of different cultural and national backgrounds.
    • Good skills in personal organization and priority setting
    • Good client orientation and service approach


      Desirable Requirements

      • Previous internships
      • Work experience in an international environment
      • Knowledge of a second language

        Terms of employment

        This is a job traineeship, and the monthly salary is Euro 1,217.13. The contract will start as soon as possible and terminate on 31 December 2023, with the possibility of renewal in 2024 upon review of performance and funds availability.
