About the position
Based in Rome, Italy, and under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Job Trainee will provide assistance to the Accounting Service Unit and support various tasks related to projects connected to the harmonization efforts of the Alliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the input of some documentation into the accounting system (invoices, HR payments, travel reimbursements).
- Assist Financial Planning and Analysis and Project Financial Analysis Support Units (FP&A and PLANS) with accounting entries for transfers and charges.
- Assist with accounts and other reconciliations.
- Assist with the audit requests.
- Undertake other related duties as required.
- Prepare a report on the work performed and a guideline for future Job Trainees.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Secondary school education
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite packages
- Working knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken
- Good interpersonal, communications and teamwork skills, courtesy and tact, and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of different cultural and national backgrounds.
- Good skills in personal organization and priority setting
- Good client orientation and service approach
Desirable Requirements
- Previous internships
- Work experience in an international environment
- Knowledge of a second language

Terms of employment
This is a job traineeship, and the monthly salary is Euro 1,217.13. The contract is for a period of three (3) months, renewable upon review of performance and funds availability.
