About Better Work
We mobilize global brands, governments, factory owners and workers to improve working conditions, drive competitiveness and create a more equitable, more prosperous world.

The Power of Convening
As a partnership between the UNโ€™s International Labour Organization and the World Bank Groupโ€™s International Finance Corporation, we know how to bring diverse groups together to create positive action that improves working conditions while stimulating productivity and competitiveness.

A Proven Approach
We create lasting, measurable change by empowering factories to improve the working conditions in their facilities. Our assessments are the global gold standard for rigour and integrity. Our training programs and advisory services change attitudes as well as behaviours.

National Action/ Global Influence
Through our comprehensive, university-led research, and by sharing best practices from our on-the-ground experience, we are able to shape the agenda well beyond the countries in which we work, influencing governments, brands and policy makers to make improving working conditions a top priority

Purpose
Our work and our research have demonstrated โ€“ to employers, unions, global brands and governments โ€“ that improving working conditions and defending the rights of workers benefits all of us. Weโ€™ve improved the lives of more than 3 million workers, and millions more family members, while enhancing the profitability of their employers. There is no trade-off between better work and better business

Learning area

As an intern with the the ILO-IFC Better Work Programme global team, you will be based in the ILO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on with our internal knowledge-sharing tools and best practices. You will gain a deep understanding of how we leverage cutting-edge technologies and the Microsoft platform, including SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365, to facilitate efficient communication, collaboration, and information management across our teams.

Throughout your internship, you will contribute to the optimization of these tools and the development of innovative solutions that improve our processes and drive better outcomes for the work we do.

Microsoft SharePoint is a document management tool, an application portal and has always offered a lot of tools to build a complete โ€œIntranetโ€ portal. Better Work took advantage of it to build an on-premise โ€œSharePoint Workspaceโ€ as an intranet site for sharing and archiving content and documents, and running applications to make internal and external collaborations more efficient and seamless.

Better Work is in the process of transitioning from our on-premise \"SharePoint Workspace\" to the SharePoint cloud platform. Although the existing on-premise workspace is functional, it requires optimization in order to ensure a seamless migration. This optimization entails the removal of outdated files, the addition of new files, and a thorough re-evaluation and reorganization of the workspace's navigation structure.

During your time with us, you will gain exposure to a variety of cloud technologies, including Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams, and more. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Collaborating with different teams to reorganize and tidy up the on-premise SharePoint site, which includes retiring older documents and updating new documents and information, as well as creating a sitemap to support technical support workflows.
2. Reorganizing and restructuring the navigation of the on-premise workspace based on team needs and priorities, in consultation with the global Better Work team.
3. Assisting in redesigning the SharePoint site in accordance with Better Work's updated brand and visibility guidelines.
4. Supporting the development, deployment, and technical migration of a new SharePoint site on the cloud.
5. Engaging in regular communication and coordination with team members to ensure alignment of objectives and smooth project execution.
