5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Pact is an international nonprofit that works in nearly 40 countries building solutions for human development that are evidence-based, data-driven and owned by the communities we serve. Founded in 1971, Pact works with partners to build resilience, improve accountability, and strengthen knowledge and skills for sustainable social impact.

Department Private Business Development (PRBD) - Pactโ€™s Private Sector Team leads and supports the development of partnerships with private sector entities, which includes corporations and foundations. The Team works with technical leads and country office staff to develop and shepherd project opportunities through from initial meeting or idea to successful receipt of funding. This also includes growing our innovative private sector consulting practice. The Private Sector Team is part of a larger Business Development team and collaborates with business development colleagues focused on work with public sector funders.

Position Overview

Pact seeks a Partnerships intern to support the Private Sector Engagement (PSE) team with research, analytical, reporting, and technical support for private sector partnerships across all of Pactโ€™s country offices and impact areas. They will provide support in identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities by researching new funding leads, supporting client relationships, and coordinating promotional activities. This position will liaise on behalf of the PSE team and business development department across all Pact impact areas (governance, capacity development and innovation, global health, responsible mining, energy and environment, and livelihoods) and country offices to collect project information and achievements, technical capacities and scopes, and relevant documents and data that will support Pactโ€™s new business and partnership efforts. The Intern may also be asked to help develop various external- and internal-facing communications products for partnership development.
