Tätigkeitsbereich

The InsuResilience Global Partnership was launched at the UN Climate Change Conference COP23 in Bonn in November 2017 and emerged from the G7 InsuResilience Initiative. The aim is to enable countries to react more quickly after a disaster and to better adapt to climate and disaster risks through the use of risk financing and insurance instruments. This will help vulnerable people to strengthen their resilience over time.

The Partnership brings together the countries from the Global North and Global South, civil society, international organisations, the private sector and academia. The GIZ hosts the InsuResilience Global Partnership Secretariat which supports the multi-stakeholder partnership in outreach, governance and implementation activities.

The Partnership’s Secretariat supports the work of the members with communication and events especially focus on social media, as well as networking activities, for example its Annual Forum and workshops, hybrid events bringing together key actors from the Partnership.

Ihre Aufgaben

Support of communication and public relations strategy and products (annual report, social media, newsletter, website) and set up and support of events (virtual / hybrid), also linked to COP28 Support in the preparation of Events on the Partnership, for example at COP28 Set up own social media ideas for communication of the InsuResilience Global Partnership Support in the processing of one of the thematic focal points of the secretarial work as well as the onboarding of new members and engagement with all members of the Partnership and its work on the Global Shield against Climate Risks Preparation and monitoring of internal meetings and meetings with members and partners Supporting preparing the content and organisation of the regular meetings of the Partnership'sstrategic groups

Ihr Profil

Applicants are currently studying for a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree in the fields of communication, marketing, public relations, international cooperation / international studies, political science or economics, or other relevant subjects; alternatively, applicants must have completed their studies no more than 6 months ago at the beginning of the internship Initial experience in topics such as adaptation to climate change, international climate policy, disaster risk management, climate or is an advantage Fluent in English; good knowledge of German and good knowledge of another foreign language (preferably French or Spanish) is an advantage Applicants have gained initial experience in developing or emerging countries (e. g. through internships, semesters abroad etc.) Good self-organization and ability to work independently High ability to work in a team and communication skills

We pay a monthly stipend of €2.064,- (gross).
