The global programme \"Green Innovation Centres for the Agriculture and Food Sector\", is part of the special initiative โTransformation of Agricultural and Food Systemsโ, financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and is currently represented in 16 countries, including India.
The Indian government aims to double the income of smallholder farmers by 2022 with the help of market-oriented agriculture. This is precisely where the Green Innovation Centre India comes in: The project disseminates innovations along the value chains based on tomato, potato and apple.
The overall aim is to reduce poverty, increase productivity, create jobs and improve food security. We work in the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Himachal Pradesh with our main project office in Bengaluru.
Your tasks
You will support the team especially in the areas of monitoring & evaluation, communication and renewable energies.
Specifically, your tasks include:

Your profile
Studies in the field of political, social, economic or agricultural sciences, or other relevant fields of study. Reliable oral and written communication in German and English. You are motivated, a team player and flexible; you are enthusiastic and work independently and structured. Experience abroad in developing countries is an advantage, but not a prerequisite. Interest in our relevant topics (agriculture, agricultural trade, value chains, development cooperation) and basic knowledge of the relevant actors in international cooperation are desirable.Notes
Please be informed that you are only allowed to apply for this internship, if you are currently enrolled as a student or graduated not longer than six months ago from the start of your internship.
We pay a monthly stipend of โฌ2.064,- (gross). Depending on the country of assignment a monthly expatriation allowance (gross), predetermined by GIZ will be paid on top.
