The Intern, Global Health Communications serves in a communications support role to enable strong external and internal information sharing and creative storytelling to advance UNF and our partnersโ global health work and policy objectives.
This is a paid opportunity and offers a rate of $17/hour for individuals currently enrolled in or recently graduated from (within 8 months of graduation) an associate degree or bachelorโs degree program; and $20/hour for individuals currently enrolled in a graduate program. This position is remote.
Essential Functions
Selection Criteria Candidate must be enrolled in a degree-granting program during the internship or must be a recent graduate (within 8 months of graduation) of a college or university.Familiarity with global health issues (especially pandemic preparedness, immunization, malaria, antimicrobial resistance, and universal health coverage) and the United Nations system and agencies (especially WHO).Communications and public relations skills and experience such as: email newsletter management, media and social media tracking and analytics, web design and content management, and graphic design (Adobe CS, Canva, etc.).Ability to write engaging content for both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to work under pressure and handle stress.Ability to meet regular attendance/tardiness policy.Must have a personal laptop computer and access to the Internet.Must be available to work 20-29 hours per week during East Coast working hours.Must be authorized to work in the United States.
