The Food Security & Resilience (FSR) intern will support the FSR team, which provides a wide range of technical, operational, and management services to a robust portfolio of integrated food security and resilience projects, as well as advancing departmental systems strengthening and business development initiatives at CARE.
Responsibilities:
Copy edit and format technical reports and evaluations, tables and graphics, manuals, presentations, training materials, knowledge management products, and other communications materials; Support FSR systems strengthening initiatives, including contributing to the development of internal tools, surveys, checklists, databases, distributions/contact lists, and templates. Assist with the roll-out and communications for new departmental initiatives; Support FSR Technical Leads in new business development activities, such as writing and customizing capability statements and conducting research to assist with proposals. Review external and internal reports and publications and summarize relevant findings. Translate technical reports and other documents from French into English (preferred). Contribute ideas and take part in Program Strategy Impact Team (PSI), Food Water Systems (FWS), and FSR team-wide initiatives and events. Arrange and attend meetings, send out agendas or request agenda inputs, and take notes, as requested. Aid with logistics and communications for meetings and other events. Assist with departmental procurement of goods and services and Undertake additional communications, operational, and administrative tasks as directed.Qualifications:
Bachelorโs degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. Preference given to qualified candidates with Masterโs in relevant field. English, with additional fluency in French strongly preferred High level of verbal proficiency. High level of writing proficiency. Strong writing skills and command of the English language Outstanding and demonstrable copy - editing experience. Experience producing communications materials for external audiences. Exceptional attention detail. Fluency in French preferred.
