The Global Green Growth Institute internship program (also called \"Grow Green\" Program) provides a unique learning opportunity for students and recent graduates from diverse academic backgrounds. The program is designed for talented and motivated individuals skilled in areas relevant to GGGIโ€™s operations. The program allows selected candidates to gain insight into the work of the Institute and provides assistance and training in various professional fields in a multicultural environment. CURRENT OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual with deep interest on mitigation and markets to work with us in the Carbon Pricing Unit (CPU) in Seoul to support the development and management of technical information and knowledge-sharing materials for the Program โ€œDesigning Policy Approaches under Article 6 of the Paris Agreementโ€.

The scope of activities to be undertaken encompasses the following:

Developing capacity-building materials related to Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. Preparing presentations in PowerPoint for internal and external use Coordinating meeting schedules with internal and external stakeholders. Researching relevant information, including news and releases of technical inputs from the UNFCCC and other relevant institutions related to the Program and preparing brief notes and summary documents of technical information. Proposing and drafting innovative knowledge products. Analyzing documents from consultancies. Attending relevant meetings, drafting minutes, and ensuring timely clearance and distribution. Organizing, version controlling & archiving documents in a systematic manner. Others relevant to the DAPA Program and the CPU Unit.

ELIGIBILITY

Applicants to the GGGI internship program must meet one of the following requirements:

Be enrolled in a Bachelorโ€™s (final year), Masterโ€™s, or PhD program on climate-related issues prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months. Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to the Instituteโ€™s work. Enthusiasm towards finding creative and long-lasting solutions to reduce climate change challenges. Possess an excellent command of English (oral and written). Fluency in French is a plus

QUALIFICATION
Background in sustainability, environmental engineering, environmental economics, international negotiations, or others related fields. Understanding of the global climate crisis, global climate agreements (e.g., Paris Agreement), and the role of economic instruments to reduce it. Academic, work, or personal experience of translating difficult technical concepts into understandable knowledge materials. Demonstrated capacity to understand and articulate complex and abstract topics Creativity and initiative applied to knowledge sharing. Excellent command of English both oral and written. Able to work effectively with other teams with a high degree of cultural/professional diversity.

GGGI evaluates applications based on eligibility requirements, relevance of academic study and work experience (if any); and the level of interest and motivation to contribute to development work. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Duration: The internship program is for at least three months and up to six months. Once selected, interns must begin the internship either prior to or within 12 months of graduation.

Stipend: GGGI interns receive a monthly stipend of USD$500 per month. All costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be borne by either the interns or their sponsoring institutions.

Visa: GGGI will provide a supporting letter for visa. Interns will be responsible for obtaining and financing the necessary visas.

Travel: Intern will arrange and finance their travel to the internship location.

Medical Insurance: Interns must present proof of valid medical insurance to GGGI upon returning the signed internship contract.

Confidentiality: Interns must keep confidential all unpublished information obtained during the internship and may not publish any documents based on such information.

Academic Credit: Interns may get academic credit from their institution of higher education for the internship. Interns need to check with their university to confirm their academic credit policy for internships.

Working Hours: interns are expected to work during normal working hours. Leave should be pre-approved by the Intern Manager, and the latter should inform the Office of HR accordingly.

Learning Outcomes: before completion of the internship, Intern Managers are expected to review the learning outcomes with the intern.

Certificate: provided upon successful completion of the internship, upon request.
