Background
The Arab States Partnership for Inclusive Rights in Elections (ASPIRE), supported through financial contributions from the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), is dedicated to building coherence in electoral support in the region. This is achieved through dialogue, partnerships, and initiatives that enhance regional knowledge and capacity on elections while promoting the active participation of youth and women in political and civic life. A crucial initiative under this support is to strengthen regional cooperation, with the Regional Electoral Support Project for the Middle East and North Africa actively supporting organizations such as the new organization of Arab Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs), the Arab Network for Women in Elections, the Arab Youth Network in Elections, the Arab Women Organization, the League of Arab States, and the Arab Network for National Human Rights Institutions (ANNHARIs), among others. Within this context, the Arab States Partnership for Inclusive Rights in Elections (ASPIRE) is seeking a Graphic Design and Multimedia Assistant to support regional advocacy and campaigns focused on enhancing political participation. The goal is to unify advocacy messages, reach a wider audience, and garner increased attention. By sharing common experiences and addressing challenges, the campaign aims to highlight the importance of implementing Temporary Special Measures (TSMs) for improved representation across the region. The collective effort inspires coordinated actions at the national level, creating a ripple effect. Shared objectives, messages, success stories, and narratives from across the region not only enhance the impact of advocacy initiatives but also challenge stereotypes and traditional attitudes, fostering a more inclusive and progressive approach to political involvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support the Arab States Partnership for Inclusive Rights in Elections (ASPIRE) Programme to ensure effective design of communications and information products focusing on the achievement of the following results:
โข Assists in the coordination of creative and innovative information materials (social media content, banners, brochures, booklets, leaflets, bulletins, flyers, cards) for UNDP in Jordan, Amman
โข Prepares the draft layout of research activities in a creative format, edits artwork and finalizes the design process of reports, presentations and information materials in line with UNDPโs design guidelines.
โข Capture and edit photos and create a photo repository for UNDP communications materials.
โข Working with UNDP CO projects in the Arab Region to support the projectโs advocacy goals, including producing videos, editing graphics, and presentations
โข Uploading necessary materials (reports, articles, publications) to the UNDP Regional Hub Office website periodically
2. Support to the effective creation of branding materials for promoting the activities of UNDP focusing on the achievement of the following results:
โข Support developing a Communication, branding strategy, and Social Media for the Arab network for women, the youth network, and ArabEMBs
โข Supports the design of graphics and visualizations requested for various UNDP events, inter-agency collaborations, and project office support, based on needs and supervision from the Head of Communication.
โข Design and update website pages for ASPIRE project, ArabEMBs, Women's network, and Youth network weekly, following the electoral calendar in the region
โข Coordinate and produce short videos and success stories for the women and youth, enhancing political participation campaigns as per the developed plans
3. Support strategic partnerships, communication, and implementation of resource mobilization.
โข Maintaining and updating an efficient catalogue system of visual materials database (photography, video, social media final products).
โข In coordination with the supervisor and other relevant counterpart communications teams, support the design of infographics of the project activities as a tool to communicate results, deepen stakeholder knowledge and buy-in to the project, and resource mobilization for the project.
4. Provide administrative and operational assistance support to the Arab Network for Women in Elections in the following function:
โข Act as the Networkโs Coordinator, supporting the Network Chairperson in implementing tasks related to the networkโs work and executing all decisions of the Steering Committee. This includes preparing draft agendas, coordinating invitations and participation, drafting and disseminating meeting minutes and decisions, following up on documentation and signature processes.
โข Act as focal point between the Network and liaison officers within Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs), as well as with partner organizations working closely with the Network.
โข Support the planning and organization of all meetings and activities related to the Arab Women Network, ensuring technical, administrative, and logistical arrangements are in place for their effective implementation.
โข Assist in the preparation and conduct of meetings, including drafting meeting minutes and activity reports, preparing briefing and presentation materials, speeches, and background documents for meetings and missions.
โข Contribute to drafting technical reports and assessments submitted within the framework of programme implementation, providing substantive input as needed.
โข Promote and manage content for ArabEMBs organization website and social media platforms, ensuring timely and relevant updates.
โข Collect, classify, and analyze information to support the development of knowledge products, studies, and worksheets related to ArabEMBs and the Networkโs activities.
โข Perform any other related tasks as required in support of the Networkโs objectives.

Min. Academic Education

Min. years of relevant Work experience
