5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

The Organisation

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances childrenโ€™s rights and equality for girls.

We believe in the power and potential of every child. But this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And itโ€™s girls who are most affected.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges facing girls and all vulnerable children.

We support childrenโ€™s rights from birth until they reach adulthood. And we enable children to prepare for โ€“ and respond to โ€“ crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.

We have been building powerful partnerships for children for over 85 years, and are now active in more than 80 countries.

The Opportunity

Plan International is on a journey to Moving Fleet Forward, developing stronger Fleet Management processes and practices across its 56 Country offices.

This role is a key member of our Global Supply Chain team and will support the continuous strengthening of the Fleet function globally. You will be looking in depth into Planโ€™s fleet portfolio and identifying areas for continuously developing, growing, and strengthening the Fleet function, processes and systems. In the delivery of this, you will also be required to think and act innovatively with the ability to change processes, work with stakeholders on their needs and achieve better value for money in our Fleet Management. You will work to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, safety and performance of our Fleet as a critical enabler to our projects thereby saving Plan International critical funds to achieve greater impact for childrenโ€™sโ€™ rights and equality in the countries where we are working in.
