Job Overview/Summary:
The FX Risk Manager supports and reports to the Senior Director of Treasury in the areas of FX and risk management, banking, and Treasury Management System (TMS) roll out.
As the FX Risk Manager, you will be responsible for handling foreign exchange (FX) risk and implementing FX trades for the organization.
As a key member of the Treasury, you will be accountable for leading all of the organizationโs financial market transactions including FX spot and derivatives. You will also work closely with other internal partners to ensure that the organizationโs FX exposures and trades are effectively handled.
Major Responsibilities:
โข Lead all FX risk management activities including:
โ Work closely with key partners (e.g. Controllership, FP&A, Program Management, regional finance directors, etc.) to identify, analyze and quantify the FX risk exposures (mainly balance sheet and cash flow)
โ Lead and coordinate cross-functional effort to implement Programs cash flows exposure hedging
โ Define the global hedging strategy based on the combined exposure profile and risk management strategy
โ Hedging trade execution in line with established policies
โ Monitor and report on FX risk exposures and related financial performances to senior management and other team members
โข Gather, review and challenge FX forecast requirements and develop trade execution strategies
โข Complete Treasury dealing activity including but not limited to, FX spot & forward and currency swap transactions
โข Monitor financial markets globally to find opportunities and risks
โข Monitor relationships with IRC banking partners for FX related topics
โข Lead the regular (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly) risk reporting of all treasury transactions globally
โข Provide expert advice and training on FX risk exposures to the business.
โข Work closely with the Treasury Back Office team to ensure trading activities are correctly reported and tracked on a timely basis and aligned to set policies and regulatory requirements
โข Work closely with the Tax and Legal team for the review and negotiation of legal documentation for financial risk (e.g. ISDA documentation) activities
โข Lead global IRC organizational change efforts required for optimal FX risk management
Job Requirements:
Education: Masterโs degree or equivalent experience in Finance or other related field
**Work Experience:**6+ yearsโ demonstrated ability in financial risk management and FX deals execution
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:
โข Thorough/validated knowledge in FX hedging strategies and products, settlement systems and treasury transaction processing
โข Experience in emerging market currencies, particularly the MEA region
โข Strong negotiation skills to transact treasury deals with relationship banks/brokers
โข Understanding of treasury accounting, including hedge accounting
โข Demonstrated leadership and coaching of staff
โข Attention to details, strong analytical skills, and ability to interpret financial data
โข Able to manage workload and prioritize
โข Demonstrated high integrity and ethics in all activities
โข Ability to work in a team spirit environment
โข Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: the ability to interact closely with colleagues in a diverse multi-cultural environment
