Chemonics seeks a Finance and Accounting Associate to support the Global Health Supply Chain – Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project. This is an exciting opportunity to provide financial and accounting support for Task Order activities awarded under the GHSC-PSM IDIQ, and assist in managing all financial aspects of the Task Order. Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Task Order Finance Specialist in financial management activities specific to the GHSC-PSM IDIQ
  • Assist the Task Order Financial Specialist in reviewing financial data and performing the necessary adjustments in consultation and coordination with the project management units
  • Prepare, analyze, and submit vendor payment packages in a timely manner to Payments Managers for appropriate approvals
  • Coordinate with Finance Managers for proper General Ledger and billing code approvals
  • Provide reconciliation of transactions and analyze financial information in Chemonics’ systems and requisition orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data and processing corresponding corrections as necessary
  • Assist in the monthly and quarterly production of financial statements and assists with other financial reporting as appropriate
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience
  • Specific experience with accounts payable module, ReQLogic, or similar software knowledge preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new financial and accounting concepts and translate information to colleagues with little to no financial background
  • USAID government contracting experience and familiarity preferred
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and prioritization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to follow standard practices and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in a second language preferred
