More About the Roleย
Theย Education Project Managerย is responsible for the Curriculum and Teaching Technical Lead will lead efforts to strengthen teaching and learning with a focus on accelerated education and continuous teacher professional development. They will work closely with the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Regional Education Bureaus (REBs) to adapt and roll out the continuous professional development framework..ย ย
ย What you will doย ย ย
Adherence to NRC and the donor (FCDO) and priming agency (CWW) policies, guidance, and procedures.ย Work closely with the lead agency and other consortium members and downstream partners and contractors, the Core Programme Management Team, and the Ministry of Education in Ethiopia.ย Provide technical guidance to the MOE on the implementation of the FCDO TREE project in Ethiopia.ย Provide Guidance technical guidance to MOE and the implementing partners and improved quality of teaching and learning through continuous teacher professional development in targeted schools. ย Liaison and coordination will be with Regional Leads and the consortiumโs Technical Advisers in Ethiopia and globallyย Lead the initiative of improving English Language for better and improved use of the language across the curriculum.ยPlease download theย detailed job descriptionย ย to learn more about the position.ย ย ย
What you will bringย ย
Collaborate with the MoE and REBs to develop, adapt and roll out the continuous teacher professional development framework.ย
Lead in the revision, contextualization, and dissemination of accelerated education curriculum and non-formal learning modalities to provide pathways to formal education for out of school children in collaboration with the MoE and REBs.ย Provide technical support to Regional Leads in the roll out of the continuous professional development framework and accelerated education curriculum. ย Collaborate with MEAL staff to monitor the curriculum and teaching component of the programme.ย Conduct regular site visits to provide technical assistance and ensure effective implementation and monitoring of curriculum and teaching activities.ย Effectively communicate curriculum and teaching program implementation updates and findings to the Technical Assistance Lead, programme staff and external stakeholders, including FCDO, to facilitate informed decision-making and coherence and coordination with other outcomes.ย ยย
