The Corporate Risk Management Department (CRM), under the Corporate Risk & Financial
Sustainability Vice-Presidency, provides Corporate-wide portfolio and risk oversight of IFC's debt, equity and treasury portfolios, as well as managing IFC's overall capital position and financial sustainability. Within CRM, Treasury Risk Team (CRMTR) is responsible for providing risk oversight of IFCโs Treasury Activities. This includes, but is not limited to, measuring, managing and monitoring market, credit and liquidity risks in IFCโs portfolio.ย
CRMTR is conducting a search for an E T Consultant to join an international dynamic team in support of various Credit Risk functions.ย ย
Duties and Accountabilities:
His/her responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:โขย Perform fundamental credit analysis of Banks, Sovereigns, GRE and Covered Bond issuers and ensure the proactive identification of risks and mitigants.โขย Contribute to ESG analysis and integration into credit processes for issuers and counterparties.โขย Contribute to ongoing credit reporting including the Credit Spotlight, quarterly Watchlist and Radar Reports, Counterparty Handbook, etc.โขย Contribute to ongoing market surveillance to identify, measure, and evaluate credit risks; proactively identify emerging regulatory/policy changes and assess their implications for counterparty risk.ย โขย Understand and use an array of analytical tools to measure credit risk including fundamental model, credit model, market signals and implied ratings.โขย Present credit risk analyses and actively participate in CRMTRโs Credit Committees.โขย Familiarize themselves with CRMTRโs risk policies, investment guidelines, systems, and databases. Update CRMTR systems to reflect appropriate credit limits.โขย Be involved in a number of ad hoc projects of high importance to CRMTR.
Selection Criteria
โขย Masterโs degree in finance, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics with a strong technical background with at least 3 yearsโ experience in credit risk analysis, and analysis of structured products.โขย Experience in finance, fixed income, derivatives, structured products, and/or financial modeling within an investment bank, rating agency, or other financial institution. Experience in emerging markets is a plus.โขย Experience in using Intex for the analysis of Structured Products is a plus.โขย Experience in Microsoft Office Suite is required. VBA and SQL is desirable.โขย Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.โขย Financial modeling skills are desirable.โขย Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present technical issues in simple and straightforward terms.โขย Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines and work efficiently in multicultural teams.โขย Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and resourcefulness.โขย Prior experience in financial and business intelligence software such as Bloomberg, or Reuters, as well as working with Credit Rating Agencies is a plus.
